Amosun Dissolves Boards, Governing Councils

ABEOKUTA, June 01, (THEWILL) - Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has approved the immediate dissolution of boards and governing councils of all state-owned Parastatals, and higher institutions.

In a statement signed by the Governor’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communication, Mrs. Funmilola Wakama and made available to THEWILL today, Chairmen and Heads of Parastatals and institutions have been directed to hand over to the most senior civil servants in their establishment.

Meanwhile, the State House of Assembly has received request from Amosun to have all statutory boards, commissions and parastatals dissolved, these included the state Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC), Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Health Management Board, Local Government Service Commission and the State House Assembly Service Commission among others.
