Airtel Puts Smile on Customers Faces With 16 K/Sec Call Rate During Easter

Lagos, Nigeria; April 21, 2011: Leading Telecommunications Services Provider, Airtel has put smile on the faces of its customers across Nigeria with the introduction of a special Easter Offer which allows them to make calls to Airtel numbers at only 16k/sec during this Easter period.

Starting from today, Thursday, April 22nd 2011 till Monday, April 25, 2011, existing and new 2Good Xtra prepaid customers of Airtel will be able to make calls for as low as 16 kobo per seconds in a new offer designed to empower customers during the Easter season.

Airtel says the special Easter offer is specially designed to delight customers during the duration of the Easter period and will also afford telecoms consumers across the country a rare opportunity to stay in touch with family, friends and loved ones as they celebrate an outstanding religious figure.

According to the Chief Operating Officer of Airtel Nigeria, Deepak Srivastava, the Airtel Easter offer is one of the ways the company is joining its numerous customers in celebrate the season just as it opens an opportunity for customers to connect with their circle of friends, loved ones and others at an amazingly discounted rate.

The Airtel Chief further disclosed that the Easter promo, which applies to all 2Good and Valumax subscribers on the network, will run from April 22nd to 25th, 2011, also noting that customers can begin to activate the offer from April 20th by dialing *400*1#.

Subscription to the Airtel Easter Offer attracts an access fee of N100 only.

The Easter season, a federal public holiday period in Nigeria, marks the end of forty-day period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
