THE legislative arm of Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State, yesterday, passed a vote of confidence on the council boss, Mr. George Ekpemupolo, saying that his administration has brought unparalleled democracy dividends to the area.

They also commended him for building one of the most ultra-modern council secretariat in the country as well as embarking on massive youth empowerment programmes, noting that with the assistant of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, the council had achieved greater heights beyond the imagination of the people and  called for the continued support of the Governor.

In a statement by the Deputy Leader, Mr. Weyinmi Omadeli; Deputy Majority Leader, Mr. Anthony Ayebibode; Chief Whip, Mr. Austin Tonfawei and four other councillors, they said the confidence vote had become necessary in view of the misgiving and immaturity being exhibited by some legislators in the House over some issues the  chairman was making frantic efforts to resolve.

The decision was taken at a plenary session of the House.

According to them,  the misinformation being peddled by some  colleagues was intended to breach the peace currently existing in the council,  and that drastic action would be taken against  erring councillors after due consultation.
