The Nigerian Ambassador to France Mr Gordon H. Bristol has been commended for promoting the good image of the country and sustaining harmonious relationship with Nigerians resident in that country.

Making the commendation, President of the Niger Delta Group Development Forum (NDDF) based in France, Mr Henry Ukrakpo, said Bristol has engineered improved services and halted the irregular consular services hitherto experienced at the embassy.

'The coming of Mr Gordon Bristol has brought sanity and some remarkable changes at the Nigerian embassy in France, particularly in the area of quick respondance to issues. His cordial relationship with Nigerian people there is like that of father and child, and the services rendered to us have improved tremendously in recent times. We have never had so good, we are happy and will continue to do good things that will portray the good image of our country.

'We are now so proud, because each time we go to the embassy over one problem(s), we are always given 'first class' treatment', Okrakpo said in a press statement. Okrakpo said Bristol has encouraged all the ethnic groups from Nigeria to be formally registered with the embassy as a measure to further strenghten the existing inter-ethinic relationship between them,' Okrakpo expressed delight that Nigerians celebrated this year's independence anniversary in a grand style. 'We also celebrated the 50th anniversary of our great country in a grand style. Since I came to France, we have never had it so good.'

The ambassador's house was thrown open to all and we were treated to a good reception while Nigerian music took the air waves. Bristol's performance in france is worthy of emulation. We implore all other Nigerian envoy to learn from his leadership quality,' Ukrakpo said.
