JOS, Nov 03, (THEWILL) – The National Chairman of the All Nigeria People's Party, ANPP, Chief Ogbonnaya Onu has urged Nigerians to vote the PDP government out of power in the forth coming elections.

Chief Onu who is on a nationwide tour made the call while in Jos today.

He told supporters of the ANPP that the PDP has failed Nigeria as evident in the decay of infrastructure in the country adding: “this decay is as a result of the inability of the PDP government to fulfill her promises to the people by delivering the mandate entrusted to various leaders at local, state, and national levels.

“Since 1999 when they came to power they promised us that the epileptic power supply in the country would be taken care of within three months. Again, they told us that the issue of unemployment would be addressed in no distant future, but that remains a failed promise, so that is why we are calling on Nigerians to try another party.”

He assured that if the ANPP is given the mandate in the next election it would perform better than the PDP as seen in the performances of the nine governors elected under the platform of the ANPP.

Onu called on all ANPP supporters to come out and register so that the country could have a credible register for the next elections.

He called on other political parties to educate their supporters on the need to shun violence and thuggery during and after electioneering campaigns so as enable INEC live up to its mandate of conducting credible election polls in 2011.
