•The acclaimed Mr. Prolific in Nollywood Chico Ejiro, has obviously carved a niche for himself in the film industry. Apart from his versatility and quality jobs, he is also respected for his humility among his peers.
But what you folks don't know is that he is just trying to let his name reflect in his manner of doing things, or better still, live up to his name.
He was born in Equatorial Guinea and his full name is Chicowapor, meaning, the boy is nice and cool. And according to him, that has been the hallmark of his humble nature.

•Obviously, Nollywood is fast becoming a place for the flotsam and the jetsam. If not, how else can one describe a situation whereby music stars are taking over the duties of Nollywood actors and actresses?

Searchlight can bet that you will be marvelled watching music stars like Kenny St. Brown, Zhyon, Pasto Goody-Goody and others, interpreting roles in a soap opera like Nollywood veterans. Produced by reggae artiste Zhyon, the soap opera dubbed Striving Stars is aired on MBI, Gotel 65 and Galaxy television.

•Won't you be surprised to learn that even Nwakaego Ogbaro a.k.a. Ego, is also eyeing Nollywood? Apart from being a sonorous songbird, Searchlight can squeal to you that the Never Far Away vocalist who had as at 31 December 2006, spent 12 years and three months with talented musician, Lagbaja, will soon storm Nollywood. Already, she has started featuring in a stage play. And her performance was quite commendable.

•As you folks read this, the wife of Femi Philips, Iya Rainbow's son, is not in a joyful mood at all. Want to know why? She was robbed on Lagos Island on Monday and the sum of N200,000 was collected from her.

The most painful part is that the money belongs to her husband, Femi, who has been out of the country for two weeks. Madam Philips, please take heart and we pray that God will replace the money a thousand fold.
