The party described State government media campaign of expending over 500 million naira to alleviate the suffering of the victims of disaster as misleading and bunch of lies.

Alhaji Umarun Kwabo AA, said, immediately after the happening of the disaster, DPP in Sokoto state set up powerful machinery of politicians to visit and coordinate distribution of some urgent needed relief materials assistance to some survivors' victims as donated by the party and some supporters.
