The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed Eguaveon as the coach that would lead Super Eagles against Korea.

The chief media officer of NFF, Ademola Olajire, told Daily Sunsport that speculation linking the coach of national Under-20 coach, John Obuh, to the match was false and must be regarded.

' Eguaveon will lead Eagles against Korea. There is no substance in the talk linking John Obuh to the match because he is occupied at the moment with national Under-20 team'.

It has been rumoured that John Obuh was being picked to lead the country for a full international friendly against Korea next month.

It was also reported that the technical committee of the NFF under the new leadership of the former international forward, Dominic Iorfa, had proposed Obuh to be in charge of the Super Eagles for a friendly against South Korea on August 11.

'Obuh is the only national team coach on the ground now and that is why he was chosen for the friendly game,' a top member of the technical committee informed on condition of anonymity.
