FIRM PLEDGES SUPPORT FOR HOST COMMUNITIES

The Head of External Relations, Procter & Gamble West Africa, Patricia Obozuwa, on Wednesday, said that the organisation was committed to improving the lives of people in its host communities.

Obozuwa, in a statement explained that 'Building Futures,' a corporate responsibility progamme of the company, was conceived to help 3,000 children nationwide through the development of resource centres for underprivileged children.

He said a resource centre was opened for the children of Citadel of Grace Orphanage, Egan, Lagos as part of the company's social responsibility to its environment.

Obozuwa said, 'Sponsor-A-Child has been invaluable to this programme. It is by collaborating with this organisation that we have had a chance to make an impact on the lives of these special children today and even children yet to be born through the training of caregivers of vulnerable children.'
