Igbo Mandate Congress Commends Igbo—Israeli Economic Summit As Israeli, Italian Investors Arrives Enugu

Igbo Mandate Congress IMC welcomes Ambassador Itshak Oren, former Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria and Benin Reublic, Colonel Yigal Barzilay, Mr Drio Ator, Mr Ilan Shekel, Mr Assaf Mr Diamant Dolev, Dr Kaspi Yoram, Dr David Day to Enugu for the historic event starting on the 5th and 6th of October at The Dome, New Haven, Enugu. IMC also welcomes the Italian Investors coming along with them and wishes the participants a happy stay at the South East.

Igbo Mandate Congress (IMC) has commended the historic first ever organized business partnership between the Israeli and the Igbo people of South East Nigeria. This partnership being kick started with this South East Youth Economic Summit (SEYES) organized by Ambassador Paul Ekpere led Diamond Youth initiative with the invaluable input of Prof Chinedu Nebo and former Governor of Anambra State, Dr Chukwuemeka Ezeife (Okwadike) has the potential of turning the South East into the Japan of Africa.

Igbos has complained enough. It’s time to move forward. The realities on the ground, the swelling unemployment, dilapidated infrastructure, abandoned Enugu-Onitsha-Port Harcourt roads, abandoned 2nd Niger Bridge project, abandoned Onitsha-Oguta Sea Ports among others are all potential platform for economic development deliberately denied the South East of Nigeria through internal and external political naivety.

However, this summit is another way of leveraging on the advantages of the South East by harnessing the resourceful youthful population of Ndigbo and channeling their energy towards productive economic ventures.

The areas of agriculture, solar power technology, ICT, Global Skills Accounting, solar which the Israelis want to invest in, are among the fastest growing business platforms the world over. The Israelis are acclaimed world experts in these areas.

Igbo Mandate Congress calls on all youth, business men, venture capitalists and those who have the economic interest of Ndigbo at heart, to urgently partner with the Israeli and Italian investors and establish viable small, medium and large scale businesses for the sustenance of our future generation.
