Fashion Designers from the entire continent of Mother Africa, as well as across the world, are being sought and encouraged to exhibit at the African Fashion Exchange 2010 in South Africa, at the Fashion Kapitol in the heart of Johannesburg's Fashion District, from June 18 until 03 July, 2010.


The historical event will not only allow leading African designers to explore the possibilities of International Marketing and International Retail Markets, but will also afford them the rare opportunity to explore the potential of marketing their wares during the 2010 Soccer World Cup Celebration in South Africa.

There are lots of opportunities to interact with buyers that are interested in African Fashion, accessories and related objects.

Marketing and publicity for the venue is currently on to spread the word so as to attract the rest of the world to come and become first-hand-witnesses to the creative Fashion Industry side of Africa.


The event will have an extensive workshop programme, in which there will be different viewing times for the related events - such as daily fashion shows attended by invited VIPs, including Ambassadors, Ministers, the Media, Fashion Buyers and Promoters.

Participants in the Showcase are expected from far and wide, including Angola, Botswana, Benin Burundi, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cote d'Ivoire, the DRC, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Togo, Rwanda, Swaziland, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In addition, participation is also expected from the African Diaspora, such as the Deep South of Australia, Brazil, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States of Americas.

The organizers of the event are encouraging African fashion designers to “score the first World Cup 2010 goal,” by booking for this prestigious fashion extravaganza.

Among the wide spectrum of products to be displayed are the clothing, textile, interior design, food, cosmetics, jewellery, bead-work, health, hair, African fabrics, beauty, shoes and handbags and accessories.

Interested participants are advised to book early, so as to avoid disappointment, due to a lot of worldwide interest.
