DUBAI, UAE, May 4, 2015/African Press Organization (APO)/ -- “We've never made such a massive investment in one function in the history of EnergyNet and I can't wait to see everyone's reaction as they walk through those doors. The Silent Auction alone should raise US$100,000, and 100% of that money will be given to one attendee of the dinner to donate to their charity of choice – yes, we're excited!” Simon Gosling, EnergyNet (http://www.energynet.co.uk).

Additionally we've had many requests to extend the entry deadline for submissions for the Awards, so have agreed to extend the deadline until 8th May to facilitate the late rush of entries.

The inaugural awards will honour individuals and organisations that have made significant contributions to the electricity sector across the continent. They will be held on the evening of 8th June at the JW Marriott Marquis, Dubai and will serve as a glittering showcase of the incredible successes in Africa's power sector, as well offering excellent networking opportunities for the 500 places available.
