Momoh in an interview with vanguard had earlier said “ Oshiomhole's tenure will expire next year and there will be leadership vacuum in Edo North “ Alimikhena chides the NASS member over desperation and disrespect for his political leader saying that, it is a slap to the people of Edo North for Momoh to imaging himself as a political leader in the next dispensation in the senatorial district of a serving governor who gave him political relevance. Leadership is not for children and Edo north is not in search for a leader. The former Major general who spoke through his media Aide Benjamin Aigbohaode said the exit of Governor Adams Oshiomhole from office as the governor of Edo State does not strip him off his political leadership of his area. Political leadership is not a tittle therefore it cannot be bestow on people. It is earn through dedicated commitment to the service of humanity and Momoh have not the leadership quality as a politician due the his pursuit for personal interest and gains. As the former President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Adams Oshiomhole has serve the nation and proven himself as a worthy Son of Etsako. He has not brought reproach upon our land and as a governor he has also made the afemai people proud. His leadership position in Edo North is not available for sale adding that Leadership vacuum can only be created by death and not by exit from office. He call on security agent to interrogate the NASS member over his careless comment in the newspaper.

While calling on Etsako Sons and Daughters to resist Momoh and his Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the forth coming senatorial election, the press statement describe him as a trouble shutter who has benefited from the people without making any meaningful impact in afemai land. The road leading to his village has been in a bad situation until the intervention of comrade Adams Oshiomhole. Momoh cannot be trusted with leadership position because he is not accessible by his own people. We cannot vote a visitor as our Senator. Etsako people cannot give their support to the man who plot against the only Etsako Governor and Edo north political leader. On his endorsement claim by traditional rulers, Alimikhena bemoan the SDP candidate who move from one political party to the order in search for livelihood rather than service to the people. He advise him not to drag Edo North traditional rulers into politics to cover up for his selfish representation in the past years without result. The statement further challenge the senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, The Social Democratic Party SDP Mr Abubakar Momoh and others to a debate with the APC.
