Mr. Udom Emmanuel pledges to continue with the uncommon transformation agenda of Governor Godswill Akpabio

The Akwa Ibom PDP governorship candidate, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has pledged to continue with the uncommon transformation agenda of Governor Godswill Akpabio.

Emmanuel, who stated this Tuesday during the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship campaign at Ikot Ekpene stadium, also promised to carry the youths along, carry out a consensus of unemployed youths in order to employ them in the fields of different jobs that would be created by his administration.

He further promised to carry the widows and entire women along in Ikot Ekpen by sustaining the welfare of the women and giving them the rightful place in the society, noting that his target would be to establish Ikot Ekpene International Market to attract investors to the state.

Akpabio, who stressed that the state won't allow propaganda to come in through opposition parties, remarked" As a PDP state, we won't allow propaganda to come into our state through opposition parties. Marginalization has been ruled out from Akwa Ibom state. Indeed, PDP has brought transformation to our state and our country through industrialization, so therefore PDP is owned by all of you and not by an individual".

He further said he was impressed by the massive turn out of PDP faithful for the campaign, and stressed that the massive crowd at the event was an indication that the people of Ikot Ekpene love and support him for senate, love and support President Jonathan for second term, love and support Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the next governor and PDP as a whole.

Earlier, Governor Akpabio had paid homage to the Paramount Ruler of Ikot Ekpene, Edidem Okuku Augustus Assiak at his residence and presented Mr. Emmanuel to him as the next governor of the state, for support from him and his entire cabinet.

The state PDP Chairman, Mr. Paul Ekpo who presented flags to candidates contesting for the House of Assembly, House of Reps and Senate, assured that Ikot Ekpene would vote and support PDP in the upcoming elections.

In their goodwill message, stakeholders in Ikot Ekpene reaffirmed their support for president Jonathan for second term, for Governor Akpabio for Senate, and for Mr. Udom Emmanuel as the next Governor of the state, pledging to deliver all PDP candidates in the upcoming elections.
