How Boko Haram Killed 25 soldiers, stole 12 army jeeps

Details have emerged how Boko Haram terrorists disguised as soldiers Tuesday evening stormed a military camp in Bunu Yadi, Borno State, killing 25 soldiers.

Bunu Yadi is capital of Gujba local government area of the state.

Scores of soldiers sustained serious injuries in the commando-type operation which lasted a few minutes, security sources told Pointblanknews.com.

The attackers carted away at least one armoured personnel carrier (APC) and 12 Toyota Hilux jeeps belonging to the Nigerian Army.

Military sources told Pointblanknews.com that Boko Haram terrorists in army fatigues had stormed the military base late in the evening.

The soldiers, it was gathered, “thought the terrorists were their colleagues from another military base, and came to welcome them.”

Continued the source, “No sooner had the soldiers trooped out than the terrorists opened fire, neutralizing them.

“From the attack, it was clear. that there is a communication problem in the Nigerian Army. Or else how can soldiers mistaken the enemy for colleagues,” posed the source.
