Hon. Ajibola Famurewa Eulogizes Aregbesola At 57
I feel so fulfilled to be identified with His Excellency Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola as he becomes a year older today (May 25th). I wish him luck, happiness and success for the rest of his life. As he looks ahead to tomorrow, may his deepest hopes and dreams come true for him, even in the interest of the State of Osun and Nigeria at large.
It is however important to emphasize that Governor Aregbesola's widely circulated opinions and discourses on good governance, public service, reforms, human capital development, infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment and development of the State of Osun cannot be lost to genuine lovers of our state. He had on many occasions demonstrated his love for the State of Osun above personal and pecuniary interest and taught others to do the same. In all his conducts, Governor Aregbesola has maintained the humble and truthful disposition expected and required in politics.
In addition, he has displayed high level of compassion for the downtrodden. He maintains social contacts with all Nigerians, irrespective of their political leanings. It accounts to why he is today visible in social gatherings of people of different ideologies, ethnic groupings and religious inclinations etc. While some ignorant few tend to interpret such contacts differently, Governor Aregbesola is unfazed and has maintained the need to build bridges of unity and understanding among various people of Nigeria and beyond.
I am equally pleased to be associated with his contributions to the deepening of the nation's democracy. May God grant him excellent health, courage and many more years of selfless service to the State of Osun, Nigeria and humanity; and I pray by the grace of God his 58th birthday shall be marked whilst he reigns as Governor of the State of Osun for the second term. Congratulations to a quintessential Governor at 57.
