No DJ Collects Money From Artistes To Play Their Songs--DJ Nana

Popular female Disk Jocker, Nana Abedoh aka DJ Nana, has noted that DJs do not ask for money from artists before playing their songs contrary to what is being widely alleged by some musicians. Also speaking on her career as a DJ, the talented entertainer said she is very focus in making it in the industry.

According to her, “it is not yet time for me. I need to focus more on my skills as a DJ which is what I am doing right now. Entertainment is promising and money is not the drive but the passion.”

Nana who is currently a studying Law at National Open University of Nigeria, also debunked the ideology that DJs collect money from artiste to play their songs in clubs.

“For me, I have never collected money from any artiste to play his or her songs in the club nor anywhere, neither have I heard of any DJ that has done that. As for me, I can confidently say that nobody can point at DJ Nana over such allegations.”

The DJ who is currently making wave amongst her female counterparts, added that though, academics is important for her as her parents see her as a crazy fellow over her DJ profession, but will only make Law a second choice.

“My parents believe I am crazy and will come around when I am done and go back to Law.”
