LG Boss Provides Free Drugs To Schools

The Chairman of Hawul Local Government Area of Borno state, Dr. Andrew Usman Malgwi has distributed first aid drugs to all post primary schools in the area in addition to drilling 3 boreholes in Pelachiroma, Marama and Shaffa communities.

The council also repaired 7 broken down boreholes in Durkwa, Tangarayi, Yimirshika, Humusu, Hema and other villages in the area.

Dr. Malgwi stated this in an interview with Journalists in Maiduguri while enumerating his achievements recorded less than 100 days in office.

He said, the cardinal objectives of his administration is to provide basic amenities to his people at the grassroots through prudent and judicious utilization of the scarce resources at the council's disposal , stressing that " Democratically elected Government is all about meeting the needs and aspiration of its people".

Malgwi explained that, apart from the provision of free drugs to schools and the drilling of new boreholes in addition to renovating existing ones, the council has constructed 3 classroom blocks in Pakilama Primary School among others, as well as the connection of Government Secondary School Marama to the national grid.

The council according to him, has also renovated the dilapidated structures at Pizimbir and Bwala Primary Schools, and ready to undertake renovation work in Pirkusu, Shindiffu, Kurbutu, Shitikam, Sakwa and Kidang primary schools respectively.

The council Boss further stated that, apart from embarking on the construction of mini- stadium in Azare, the Local Government Headquarters, it has also refilled Katsina-Wabara feeder road in addition to the construction of some culverts on other link roads in Marama streets.
