Veteran music star and the 'Galala' exponent, Daddy Showkey recently made a return to the music scene with a spanking new single titled 'Showkey Show'.

Seven years after his last hit album, 'Take 5ive', the 'Diana' hit maker has decided to delight his music fans worldwide with another mind-blowing album under the supervision of Cornerstone Music and this time, it's going to be banger all the way.

Speaking recently, the music crooner disclosed that his trademark dreadlocks hairdo is not for fashion as some would have thought. He also revealed why he wears dreadlocks.

“I am not a reggae artiste; I don't have to be a reggae musician to wear dreads. Reggae is from Jamaica, 'Galala' is Nigerian. There are some reggae musicians that don't wear dreadlocks. I have had this dread for over 22years. My dreadlocks is between me and God,” Showkey said when he was asked to tell the story behind his hairdo.

“I told God that, if I, a nobody from Ajegunle becomes someone the world would know, I will not cut my hair again. It is a vow that I made. Many people do it for fashion but I don't do it for fashion. God has kept his side of the vow, so it is left for me to keep my part of the vow,” Daddy Showkey added.
