The Nasarawa State Government has constituted a seven-man committee to look into the recent disengagement of some Local Government workers in the state.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Hajia Zainab Abdulmuminu, on Tuesday in Lafia.

The statement named Alhaji Mohammed Danazumi, the Commissioner for Chieftaincy and Local Government Affairs, as chairman, while Mr Sule Osuza, the Director of Administration and Supply, Ministry of Rural and Community Development, would serve as secretary.

It mandated the committee to appraise the circumstances surrounding the recruitment and disengagement of the affected staff.

The committee, according to the statement, is also to verify the actual number of staff engaged by the councils during the period under review.

It said the committee, which would be inaugurated by Gov. Tanko Al-Makura on Thursday, was given three weeks to complete its assignment. NAN
