Wits Loan Out More Players
BidVest Wits have loaned out Sandile Sibande to Polokwane City as they continue to maneuver furiously in the transfer market, officials confirmed on Wednesday.
The club is are expected to make two more signings by the end of the week and possibly off load two more players as coach Gavin Hunt continues to tweak his squad for the re-start of the Absa Premiership next month.
The 26-year-old Sibande, who played just one game this season, joins the relegation threatened Polokwane City on loan until the end of the season.
Wits have also, in the last weeks, loaned out Jackson Mabokgwane and Miguel Timm to Mpumalanga Black Aces; Musa Bilankulu to Bloemfontein Celtic and Sipho Mngomezulu and Letsie Koapeng to Chippa United in the National First Division.
All are deals until the end of the season.
At the weekend the club announced the signing of striker Sthembiso Ngcobo from Kaizer Chiefs on a two and a half year deal.
He had spent the last six months on loan at AmaZulu but failed to make an impact in Durban where Usuthu did not use him frequently and where he scored just once.
The 30-year-old will battle with veteran Benjani Mwaruwari and speedy Calvin Kadi for the role of lead striker.
