Drogba emerges as number one in Africa

Chelsea and Ivorian striker Didier Drogba has emerged as the Glo-CAF African footballer of the year 2009.

This makes it the second time to be crowned king of Africa football for Drogba, who first won the coveted award in 2006.

This time, he beat Cameroon's Samuel Etoo and Ghana's Micheal Essien, who came second and third respectively.
