The disciplinary committee of Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has summoned Galatasaray African duo Didier Drogba and Emmanuel Eboue following their display of tributes during a football match to former South African president Nelson Mandela who passed away on Thursday. After their 2-0 win over SB Elagizspor in the Turkey Cup on Friday, the two Ivory Coast internationals displayed vests bearing tributes to Mandela. The former Chelsea talisman pulled off his jersey to reveal a wine-red singlet with the words: 'Thank you Madiba' while the former Arsenal defender's own said: 'Rest in Peace Nelson Mandela'. The TFF forbids the display of t-shirts bearing political slogans and messages during football matches. Players from Fethiyespor were recently charged for wearing t-shirts reading: 'Great Ataturk' in homage of the founder of modern Turkey. Drogba, who will be captaining the Elephants to the 2014 World Cup, posted these words on his Facebook without any mention to the above incident: 'Nelson Mandela did not only impact Africa, but also the rest of the world. This is a great loss to humanity, because he was a man who refused to abandon the struggle in the face of suffering and was able to change mentalities across the globe. 'I want to offer my condolences to his family and loved ones and to the entire South African people.' SUPERSPORT
