You Are Un-Cultured To Have Described Ekiti Leaders As Locusts—Adeyeye Tells Fayemi

By Prince Adedayo Adeyeye

Afenifere Chieftain and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ekiti State has lambasted the State Governor, Kayode Fayemi for describing the PDP as a party of locusts; saying; "He is just too un-cultulred and he should be told to stop insulting Ekiti people."

Fayemi had said while launching the newly registered All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ado-Ekiti yesterday that; “We won't allow the locusts to invade our state again. We will deal with them with ballots."

Adeyeye, who reacted through the Director General of his campaign organisation, Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement (PAAM), Hon. Bisi Kolawole, in a statement issued in Ado-Ekiti today, said it was unfortunate that Ekiti people are being ruled by a governor who revels in describing those who laboured to get the State created as locusts."

He said; "The other time, he said Ekiti people were rumour-mongers and when a governor opens his mouth to describe Ekiti leaders like Prof Tunde Adeniran, Prof Babalola Borisade, Justice Ojuolape, Chief Dapo Alibaloye, Chief Ojo Falegan, Senator Bode Olowoporoku, AVN Earnest Adeleye, Chief Paul Alabi, Chief Segun Oni, Chief Afolabi Ojuawo and others as locusts just because they belong to the PDP, one cannot but pity the state that he is governing.

"The question one should ask Fayemi is; where was he when these leaders that he has now labelled as locusts were labouring for the State to be created?

"Isn't it even an irony that Fayemi could call PDP, which parades more than 50 percent of those who worked with his political leader and first elected governor of Ekiti State, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo a party of locusts?

"Does it then implies that Adebayo also ran a government of locusts?"

Speaking further, the PDP governorship aspirant described Fayemi as "the real locust, who invaded Ekiti State with his fellow locusts from Lagos, Ibadan, Abuja and abroad."

He said; "it is with these total-foreign and semi-foreign locusts that Fayemi is devouring Ekiti State resources, using it to develop other lands while Ekiti people wallop in poverty."

Adeyeye assured that; "By the grace of God, in 2014, Ekiti people will send away, Fayemi and his foreign invaders, who are responsible for the capital flight being witnessed in the State presently."
