Governor Kashim Shettima also said, “we have seen the dangers and potentials that come with this crisis and we are poised to re-engineer Borno”.

Shettima  call  on political office holders  to always provide dividends of democracy to Nigerian rather than thinking about how to retain  power; 'most politicians only think of the last and the next election rather than providing dividends of democracy to the electorates.

“We as a people have to improve on the quality of governance and work for the people. We have to see that leadership is a covenant between us our people, and we have to see that we attend tothe fundamental needs of the people.

“We simply assume Boko Haram is a bunch of few of miscreants tormenting mischief, but it is much more deeper than that. The main issue in Nigeria is about the next elections, about who is the chairman of the NGF and so on and nobody cares about what happens in between”. Shettima said.
