APGA UK ENCOURAGES PROGRESSIVE REFORMS IN APGA

By APGAUK

Member of the all progressive grand alliance resident in the UK has called on the stakeholders of the party to exercise caution to ensure that the party retains the Governorship office in Anambra state. At the gathering of concerned stakeholders to mark the one year remembrance of Dim Chukwumemka Odumegwu-Ojukwu in the UK, the ongoing political turmoil of APGA was highlighted as a major concern to members. Mr. Martin Ogboogu the organising secretary of APGA UK reiterated the essence to form a reconciliation team from all aggrieved factions to come together and resolve the rift within the party. Martin OGBOOGU stated that APGAUK, who has always stood as a promotional and advisory body to the party, is able to unite the party to achieve greater heights. He further stated that the spirit of Ikemba will never depart the party and called on Governor Peter Obi to emulate Dim Chukwumemka Odumegwu-Ojukwu and do exactly what Ikemba would have done if he had found APGA in her current state. He further commended the gathering of members of APGA and Igbo youth to celebrate one year remembrance of Odumegwu Ojukwu Ikemba in Anambra state.

Martin Ogboogu also stated that reform in APGA is inevitable and stressed that members need to grow pass unnecessary sycophancy and stand on the part of fairness. He stated that the party was bigger than any person and sons and daughters of Igbo need to accept the restructuring of the party and give peace a chance. He further stated that members of APGA in the UK and Nigeria would welcome a progressive reform with strong democratic principles in order to get the party ready for the coming elections in Anambra state.

He further advised that Peter Obi should call a peace meeting, inviting all stakeholders including party faithfuls in the Diaspora. We believe we can all come to a logical conclusion on how best to move APGA forward and most importantly read from the same page. Igbo's are generally peace loving persons and I can ensure you that APGA UK and other organisations interconnected with APGA and her emancipation would reason on the line of peace, if not for anything at least for the sake of Dim Chukwumemka Odumegwu-Ojukwu.

God Bless Nigeria.
