Nigerian Chibunna Ogbonna Among 17 Young Leaders Standing Up For A Sustainable Future Ahead Of Biodiversity Cop

Chibunna Ogbonna is a young Nigerian change-maker who will share his expertise, ideas and ambitions for a sustainable future during the European Development Days 15 and 16 June. He was chosen out more than 200 applicants. His experience as a social entrepreneur and views on sustainable development will enrich the debate on sustainable energy .

Chibunna Ogbonna is a leader, visionary and social entrepreneur who is committed to power Africa's future with sustainable energy. He co-founded Renewcycle energy, a Nigerian based renewable energy startup that firmly believes in sustainable development achieved through investments in clean energy and people.

Besides this, he currently volunteers with Student Energy as the Regional Coordinator for Sub Saharan Africa and launched the Lighting Up Nigeria Initiative. This project aims to power one primary healthcare clinic per community in Nigeria, saving lives that could be lost due to inadequate electricity supply.
