Leicester have been fined £20,000 by the Football Association for failing to control their players in the Premier League match against Aston Villa last weekend.

A tackle by Leicester's Matty James on Villa's Jores Okore late in the game sparked a mass confrontation involving several players from both sides.

James and Villa defender Ciaran Clark received red cards for their part in the ugly scenes which marred a 1-0 win for Leicester.

Both clubs were charged by the FA on Tuesday with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.

Villa have admitted the same charge and their case will be heard by an Independent Regulatory Commission in due course.

Paul Lambert's side have been fined by the FA on two occasions already this season after failing to control their players in matches against Tottenham and Manchester United.
