Botox is purified botulinum which has a lot of uses for medical reasons and cosmetic purposes. It treats migraines, hyperhydrosis and for removing wrinkles from faces that are getting older with time.

Plastic surgeons have always used purified botulinum in relaxing wrinkles which form frown lines on a person's face. These lines are usually in the center of the forehead and they make a person look angry or even annoyed. A person who is older might be annoyed or not but the lines on the forehead makes no difference so it makes up for the clear smooth forehead that looks young and happy.
