Lagos, Nigeria, 28 January, 2013: Cowbell Football Academy (CFA) has received certificate of membership from the Association of Proprietors of Football Academies of Nigeria (APFAN). The academy was conferred with the certificate at the National Institute of Sports (NIS) in Lagos recently.

Mr. Godwin Dudu-Orumen, the Rector of CFA who received the certificate on behalf of the academy from the National President, of APFAN, Dr. Francis Akinremi was also conferred with the position of the Coordinator, APFAN - South West Zone in recognition of his impact and exemplary work in the academy.

Commenting, Mr. Andrew Enahoro, Head Legal and Public Relations of Promasidor Nigeria Limited said Promasidor is very excited and hopes to see the Cowbell Football Academy soar to greater heights.

'It is a thing of joy to see something we started small, grow. We are very excited about the membership and we are very hopeful and positive that CFA will grow to greater heights. The Cowbell Football Academy is our baby and who wouldn't be excited when his child grows. We try to emphasize little things where we can take care of children, we have always had the grassroots football initiative, where we identify young talents, get them off the streets and get them to learn about football and sport not because we have some ulterior motive but because we don't want to be exposed to all sort of vices or be used for criminal offences and all sorts.'

Cowbell Football Academy was launched in 2012 as a corporate social responsibility programme by Promasidor Nigeria with the aim of building and developing youths in the nation through sport. The academy is committed to preparing young footballers, between ages 3 - 18 years to shine as stars in the future. It's a result of diligent scouting and years of rigorous work to forge a team that will play together as a unit and will do the nation and our continent proud.

Promasidor Nigeria has continued to inspire young people and support sports annually in different capacity across the country: from schools inter-house sports, fun and excitement of its annual Animal Games for primary schools, iTry Rugby camp for kids, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) volleyball tournament and annual ParaSoccer Tournament for the physically challenged.
