THE REAL ENEMIES OF IMO PEOPLE
The jubilation that heralded the emergence of Owelle Anayochukwu Okorocha after the 2011 gubernatorial election in Imo State and the shameful disgrace of PDP standard bearer in the person of former Governor Ikedi Ohakim made Imo State to be a reference point in Nigeria democracy today but the antics of the defeated former governor who accepted the situation and his party in recent past has only confirmed the deceptive stand point of the former governor with all his antics and that of his party indication a revenge mission against the rescue mission government of APGA under Owelle Okorocha just to destabilize him and set the people against the government the whole heatedly enthroned.
For example, the rumoured that the Governor will sack Civil Servants via the fourth tier government. A concept for rural development and radical transformation that will bring life to rural dwellers was badly condemned and the minds of Imo people were highly polluted, especially the Civil Servants. A gimmick to set the Civil Servant against the government of the day. The street gate were condemned, a digital methodology to checkmate crimes and close every security loop holes. Massive road construction was also condemned, but displayed their ignorance and high level of emptiness they started their propaganda during the pick of raining season when it is obvious that raining season is not the best time of construction work. What of the free education programme? The re-location of Imo State University and Area K where government wants to use for a developmental project. It was alleged that a top PDP member at National Assembly gave youths of Amawom the sum of 50,000,000.00 (fifty million naira) to reject the project which they did by causing havoc in order to destabilize the government, examples abound but this is just a few.
For Imo electorate to show the way in 2011 by choosing a man they want to saddle the boat of leadership as the number one citizen of the state. The governor and the people have not known peace, as if hell was let lose, like one of the northern political leader vowed to make the country ungovernable for president Goodluck Jonathan, the Peoples Democratic Party Imo State Chapter has vowed to make Imo ungovernable for Owelle Rochas Okorocha without considering peace unity and progress of the state.
In Imo State today there is always a fresh story to tell against the governor just to discourage the people about his administration. Seeds of discord have been planted and it is fertilized with propaganda and blackmail.
According to the Holy Bible in Proverbs Chapter 6 verse 16=19 six things does the Lord hates, yes the seventh one is an abomination to him. It is “a proud look, a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood. a heart that devises wicked imagination, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaks lies and he that sows discord among brethren.

X-raying the behavioural manifestations of peoples Democratic party who are now the major opposition party in the state. Their methodology and their approach to issues concerning Governance you will see destruction criticism, desperate distractions, mischief making, falsehood and slanderous states. It is obvious that their approach is to make this government a reproach before the generality of Imo people, the country Nigeria and particularly president Goodluck Jonathan. High level of “pull him down” politics against the present administration is unquantifiable, every programme and policy is viewed negatively, misinformation and wrong impression have being making waves from the enemies came without consideration to peace, stability, growth and development of the state.
It was PDP that ruled this state in the past one decade; the state witnessed stunted growth, looting, executive recklessness and legislative rascality. Now they are out of power, perturbed that the developmental strides of the governor will silence them. With many projects ongoing simultaneously touching every sector of the economy they became upset and turned into an obstacle for the long awaited miracle of development which the state only witnessed during Late Sam Mbakwe’s era. The real enemies of Imo people are those who strike against the head (Governor) so that the body (administrative organs) will scatter. Unfortunately, their market strategy is yielding fruitful result. Some are confused but are worried because they don’t want him to fail. True observers of the political developments in the state and the antics of the opposition party know that they want to destabilize the governor so that his developmental projects for the state will flop. Who will lose Owelle Okorocha or the generality of Imo people?.
For grabbing power out of their hand in the name of Rescue Mission, they have threatened to unseat him through the court, condemn his programmes and policies and unleash heartless media attack on him. The same people who betrayed the confidence reposed in them, abuse privileges, under performed and heavily looted the state treasury. They want Owelle Okorocha to derail because they know that such failure will relegate the state and is the only pathway the can look better to steal power back and continue with their irregularities. They are poised to level the ground and permanently remove performance, base on productivity and finished projects as a considerable factor in deciding who accesses the seat of power. These same politicians have ganged up as cabals to kill and to destroy is their mission. The real enemies of Imo people are the political leaders who want a return to the bad old days where governance is all about inflating contracts, internet achievements with high cost of running government activities, slavish loyalty, detective and authoritative influence of godfathers with idolatry regard to their personality.
Deceptively, the uninformed masses of Imo state look up to these political leaders for direction and the reality about government activities, because they have been in the business of governance and they appear to be well informed. Most of these detractors have turned to public commentators analyst and activists with desperation to hang on to relevance. My pity or worry is for impetuous youths helpless and hapless masses who think their salvation lies only in a party that has demonstrated It is bereft of ideas capable to move the state forward, even at the National level people have being destroying people and it is obviously affecting the growth and development of the country. From my stand point I see no patriotism from these political leaders of PDP extraction. Life is in stages these men played their own role in the past and they were found wanting. The spate of media attack and vituperations against governor Okorocha just to destroy his envious reputation and rubbish his policies and programmes is a pure indication that these men are desperate to destroy him so that he will have the same bad name they have.
The pertinent question is why do the current leaders in Imo PDP react with extreme verbal Violence to any hint about APGA and Governor Okorocha’s administration. Why do they react with provocative banality and deployment of insults? They know it is the governor’s good name that brought him into power they are seriously out to tarnish his image before the masses so as to reduce him to zero level. The empires they build on deception, fraud logic of superiority of arms have collapsed. They are mesmerized by the dimension of productivity level in the governance of Imo State in less than 15 months. The real enemies of Imo people are the PDP chieftain who have turned themselves into a cabals and club in will of progress against Governor Okorocha and his developmental strides for the betterment of Imo people.
Those who have failed to live up to expectation in the past, those who have currently turned themselves into obstacle against the present administration in Imo and those who have embarked on a revenge mission against the rescue mission government of Governor Anayo Okorocha, in order to distract him and deny the people the opportunity of a true state with obvious growth and development that will affect their standard of living positively. A development based on practical realities backed with action not theoretical concept covered with deception and fraud.
