GOODLUCK JONATHAN: PALLIATIVE SUBSIDY REMOVAL, PALLIATVE ELECTRIC BULB: SIGN OF A FALLING STONE THAT CRACKED OFF A MOUNTAINOUS ROCK.

There is no more need beating about the bush, Goodluck Jonathan, Nigeria's President could be called Palliative President or better acronym: President Pallie (Pallie is here used as a short form for palliative). Yes, President Pallie is the right name.

Otherwise, how can one explain the fact that Nigerians have been grilling their teeth to the mill occasioned by unwarranted subsidy removal, not yet satisfied, another diffuser and brain-twister has been co-opted by the same man who enriched the rich by the neither-here-nor- their palliative. Subsidy removal palliative is a let-sleeping-dog-lie milieu that unearthed the carefree attitude of our leaders to the sufferings of Nigerians. Palliative for what and for who? Who received it? What impact if it came at all? The cabals are enjoying their loot as Nigerians, while the hoi-polloi as usual keep dying by pierce meal. What palliative has justified the removal of subsidy? Who received the palliative?

No ordinary Nigerian received any palliative. President Pallie is at it again. He has summoned Chinese fake production merchants to make energy-saving electric bulb as palliative for increasing electricity tariff with effect from June, 1, 2012. Why not produce energy-saving television, energy–saving fridge, energy-saving computer all energy-saving all electrical appliances? What is mere electric bulb to energy-saving? Saying that President Pallie is confused is to use better surrogate to qualify a no – blueprint rattling President.

There is no good Federal road in the Nation, no functioning rail road, Nigerian Airways is grounded, agriculture is largely subsistent, unemployment is the worst in the globe, and insecurity is the worst in the world. But the President is busy enriching China that has no Standard Organization – ''anything goes''. Is energy-saving bulb the megawatt that is presently below 2000 megawatts, whereas we are supposed to get minimum of 100,000 megawatts. Who is deceiving who? Is it the pay-as-you-use Meter that should be distributed at reduced prices for the masses? Both the very poor and the very rich use the same bulb: has income been redrisbuted equitably in Economics terms? The Nigerian rich after all are not majorly rich due to handwork, but largely rich due to undue nearness to power circuit. Does President Pallie deny this? Let us look for Revolution to change Nigeria because this President has no blue print. The revolution here is not blood-shed or military rule. The masses have to desire and act spontaneously to end hegemonic rule of the privileged. That's the Revolution.
