ISLAMIC RELIGION & VIOLENCE LECTURE SERIES 1
Mohammed, the founder of islamic religion was born around the year 570 AD in Mecca. Mecca was a significant trade route between East and West. It was a Town known for idol worship of a popular god called ka abahad, which indeed was a famous blackstone. About 360 idols were housed, one for each day of the Lunar Year. Mohammed mother was Amina who hailed from Medina. He was brought up by several people before majority.
In 595 AD, at 25, he was trained in business by a wealthy widow called khadijah whom he later married, though she was 15 years older than he was. Series of revelations (which we now know are from pit of hell because of expansionism by bloodletting) came on board. He soon embarked on pilgrimages and expansionism by crushing tribes, lands and nations. He was truly a great man, no doubt, but according to satanic and hellish principles. Wherever he went and overcame, he set up emirates and deputations. He fell out with Jews and Christians who failed to succumb to his heap of lies, and so, battle started between them. Every decision to expand by bloodlet was taken in mosque. He married many wives including many under aged between 9-10 years, one of whom was A'isha on whose lapse he died on June 8th, 632 AD, at exactly 62 years. He was unarguably, the greatest Arabic Leader and religious leader of all times: Omar was elected to succeed him in 634 AD, hence, he was called caliph or successor. Hence, he was holding the power. Caliphate means Power. Omar conquered Syria in 634 AD; Palestine and Jerusalem in 636 AD; Iraq in 638 AD; Iran in 642 AD; Egypt in 644 AD. Spain fell, though not to Omar who was supposedly dead by then, in 711 AD. Southern France fell in 720 AD. Exactly one hundred years after the death of Mohammed in 732 AD, islam was largely defeated in the War of Tours in Southern France. Hence, spread of islam in Europe was killed.
