ICPC SEIZES DIRECTOR'S PROPERTIES WORTH BILLIONS

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offence (ICPC) has seized properties belonging to a Deputy Director in the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment, Engr. Victor Nnamdi Igboanugu, for fraudulently acquiring  the properties and receiving gratification from contractors.

A notice of seizure signed by the ICPC Acting Chairman, Ekpo Una Owo Nta, stated that the seizure was in pursuant of Section 45 (4)(a)-(b) of the corrupt practices and other related offences Act 2000.

The agency said based on investigation, the movable and immovable properties owned by Igboanugo were excessive regarding his present position.

The seized properties, according to the agency, include two houses at Pomona Street, Sun City Estate Abuja; Toyota model and a Hyundai Tuscan Jeep.

The commission had reportedly detained Igboanugo on fraudulent acquisition of properties and receiving gratification from contractors.
