BOKO HARAM FALL OUT: AZAZI SHOULD RESIGN 1ST.

Azazi, the retired Army General as National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President gave a diffuser when he said that PDP Government was responsible for the continued menace of boko haram in Nigeria. He particularly alluded the upsurge to the revitalized zeal of Goodluck Jonathan to contest in 2015.

He was seemingly right, but actually wrong. Boko haram predates Goodluck Jonathan's Presidency. He was seemingly right because the chauvinistic Hausa-Fulani hegemony believe they are born to rule. Hence, since their religion tolerates wanton blood shed, they wouldn't mind killing sporadically to clinch power back.

But Hausa-Fulani are far from power in Nigeria again due to boko haram, unless they unanimously condemn it publicly. They have been insulated from presidency unless they work assiduously to neutralize the stigma of boko haram hanging on them. The entire islamic Nigeria cannot rule Nigeria again because of boko haram.

So, Azazi was seemingly right in the sense that Hausa-Fulani want to clinch power, wriggle power from Goodluck Jonathan 2015 back to their domain, so they secretly agreed to use boko haram, while publicly condemning it: hypocrisy.

But Azazi was actually wrong because he never told us the security memos he had given Goodluck Jonathan to counter boko haram as the National Security Adviser. Why comment on what you should do first. If security fails in Nigeria, Azazi is the root-cause before nationally we blame Goodluck Jonathan. He is right to lambaste Goodluck Jonathan openly, if and only if, he had given security memos to the President who as it were, had not implemented any. In which case, he is to resign first, before castigating his former boss. Now, Goodluck Jonathan is his boss, so, both of them are failures as far as book haram insurgency berths Nigerian coast.
