Oni condoles Funke Egbemode over hubby's death

Former governor of Ekiti State, Chief Segun Oni has commiserated with the Editor of The Sunday Sun Newspaper, Mrs Funke Egbemode over the death of her husband, Mr Nicholas Adedotun Egbemode, describing it as "a pain too hard to bear."

Oni, in a statement issued by his Media Aide, Wale Ojo-Lanre urged Funke Egbemode to take solace in God the giver and taker of life.

"The news of the death of Mr Nicholas Egbemode came to me as a rude shock and I understand the feeling of loss and loneliness that must be going on in the mind of Funke now.

"However, as painful and shocking as the death may be, I urged you not to allow the sad incident to deter you from forging ahead with life and taking care of the children left behind by your husband.

"You should remain strong for the sake of your children, your profession and your teeming readers whose lives have been touched through your column.

“On behalf of my family and the, I want to commiserate with you over this sad incident. It is my prayer that God in His infinite mercies will give you and the entire Egbemode family the fortitude to bear this irreparable and painful loss," Oni said.
