Huhuonline.com can disclose the revised voters registration list for the Delta State re-run election will be released to all political parties today, January 3, 2011 in Asaba. The gubernatorial re-run election, which is scheduled to take place on the 6 th of January,

has over ten candidates from the   various political parties.

However, yesterday, January 2, 2011, hints were rife that members of the people's democratic (PDP), had perfected plans to rig the gubernatorial Re-run election. Sources opined that the top hierarchy in the state chapter of the party, specifically, Chief Ben Obuh, Mr. Frank Nwugo and Mr. Nwaebuni had masterminded the issuance new voters registration card to it's members, at the TITI Plaza, which is located near the Delta State government house, Asaba.

Asked about the alleged plot by PDP to rig the rerun election, Mr. Kayode Idowu, chief press secretary to INEC chairman, said, the alleged issuance of voter register, by PDP official at the TITICOM Plaza, in Asaba, was an action in futility, as INEC was using the 2006 voters register, which has been thoroughly cleaned, thus any individual, who did register in 2006, is not eligible to vote in this rerun election'.

Continuing, Mr. Kayode Idowu dismissed fear of rigging of the Delta Re-run election, saying,

'All voters must under go accreditation at the polling centers, before they will be allowed to vote, and those whose names are not in the 'cleaned up' voters register will not be allowed to vote'.

'It will be an open process, Mr. Idowu affirmed.
'If two hundred fifty thousand voters are accredited in a poling center, and at the end of the day, we find that two hundred and fifty one thousand people voted, we will nullify votes from that polling center'.

'The election results will be announced at the polling centers'. He said
