Our Doors Are Open To Investors – Imoke

CALABAR, Dec 05, (THEWILL) - Cross River State Governor, Senator Liyel Imoke, says the state will continue to keep its doors open to any reputable investors who intends to explore the abundant business opportunities in the state. Imoke, who stated this when the Managing Director, Afribank Plc, Mr. Nebolisa Ara, led a team of management staff on a courtesy visit to Government House, Calabar, maintained that with a track record of operating for 50 years, Afribank will find Cross River a veritable business partner because government has initiated policies and projects that will support genuine public private collaborative initiative that will have socio-economic impact on the lives of the citizenry.


He disclosed that the specialist hospital which his administration is pursuing vigorously to transform health care delivery system in the state and Nigeria by establishing a World Class Health facility in Calabar, is one of such projects the bank should partner the State for it to come to fruition, adding that with their experience in facilitating hospital equipment in some states in the country, there is no doubt about their competence in that direction. Imoke thanked the bank for choosing to join the main stream of development in Cross River which he observed is contrary to bankers business conception and reaffirmed his attention to uphold its status as the preferred business and tourism destination in the sub Sahara Africa while assuring the bank of doing business with it. Earlier, the Managing Director, Afribank PLC, Mr. Nebolisa Ara, who described his visit as home coming, said that he was in Calabar to build and strengthen an already existing cordial relationship between the bank and the State in a manner that will attract mutual benefits, adding that the bank will like to partner the state in the areas of hospital development, power, transportation, agriculture and any other viable venture the state will want to venture into.
