Healthy Life; Wealthy Life

A wealthy person with poor health cannot be considered as one who has a wealthy life. A wealthy life is measured by our health life. A healthy life encompasses more than just the absence of illness; it involves a state of physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing. Someone with a healthy life feels vibrant and approaches every day with enthusiasm and purpose. Similarly, a wealthy life goes beyond mere financial stability. It incorporates financial stability, good health, mental and emotional well-being, and a work-life balance.

Maintaining a healthy life has been a challenge for many of us who are not conscious of our well-being and those who care less about it, which in turn affects our life achievements. A healthy life can be achieved through a balanced diet, adequate water intake, enough sleep, a clean environment, absence of harmful drugs, regular check-ups, and limiting unhealthy habits, good communication with family and friends, among others.

What we eat and drink affects our productivity rate. Many of us eat without being mindful of what we take into our bodies. "Make belle sha full." A balanced diet is essential for our healthy life, and it is the variety of foods from all food groups consumed in appropriate proportions that contain all the essential nutrients our bodies require for optimal health and well-being. These include fruits, whole grains, dairy, healthy fats, fruits, and vegetables. Consuming these foods in balanced ratios keeps our bodies healthy for the tasks we subject them to.

While several doctors educate us on the importance of consuming at least eight glasses of water a day, we should not disregard it as it is essential for our health. When all these practices are adhered to, there will be an increase in our life productivity.

Yes, we need to work and not waste our time, but we also need adequate sleep. Not getting enough sleep has negative effects on our bodies, including hallucinations, weakened immune systems, respiratory problems, constant headaches, insomnia leading to memory and learning challenges, emotional distress, increased stress hormones, irritability, decreased productivity, and difficulty focusing. Poor health often affects our work life. Adequate sleep promotes presenteeism and reduces absenteeism. It also ensures efficient delivery of the roles or assignments given to us.

The advantages of a clean environment are immeasurable. Aside from disease prevention, it increases self-confidence, enhances higher productivity, and also reduces stress.

Equally important is the state of our mental and emotional health. Having a good relationship with our family and friends helps our mental and emotional health. In today's world, where anxiety, depression, and stress have become prevalent challenges affecting our mental and emotional health, it is essential to have good communication with those around us. By fostering meaningful relationships, individuals can cultivate a support network that enhances their ability to cope with life's challenges and experience greater emotional fulfillment.

All the ways listed above in maintaining a proper healthy life, when followed strictly, contribute to our wealthy life. Our healthy life becomes a wealthy one when we have the vitality and energy to perform our daily tasks, pursue our dreams, and passions.

When proper check-ups are done, individuals become aware of what is going on in their bodies, and issues are taken care of promptly. This could lead to longevity and a life free from chronic diseases and health problems.
