TOPIC: YOUR CHARACTER AND YOUR DESTINY
SCRIPTURE: Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
John 14:30
Character is a capital factor for life and destiny fulfilment. Character has been said to be the bedrock of destiny. Destiny cannot be realised when character is bankrupt.
Today, we shall be looking at two key thoughts on character.
i. Character sustains destiny (John 14:30)
Destiny cannot be in place when character is out of place. When the devil wants to attack your destiny, he attacks your character. Destiny is sustained by character.
ii. Character is superior to both charisma and capacity (Gal. 5:22).
Charisma talks about your gifts and potentials. It implies how vibrant, gifted and attractive your life may be.
When we talk about capacity, we mean how much you have developed yourself in terms of the acquisition of skills and expertise.
The point is, charisma and capacity may bring promotion but it is character that sustains promotions. Charisma and capacity may take you up but it is character that keeps you up.
There are people with first class certificate who have third class character, and so they can’t keep the job, nobody likes working with them. There are intelligent people who are stranded in life because of character bankruptcy.
I knew of a man like that who was stranded for many years. Anywhere he was employed, he would get drunk and begin to insult everyone, including his boss.
Character opens doors that certificates can’t open. Character will open doors that connection can’t open.
For some people, it is their tongue that puts them in trouble all the time. Whenever God tries to open doors to assist them, their unguarded tongue would close the door.
Beloved, I decree that character bankruptcy will not stop your destiny in Jesus’ Name. Receive the grace to live right in Jesus’ Name.
Ask God for the grace to uphold Godly character.
Refuse to truncate your life and destiny by negative character and lifestyle.
PRAYER: Lord, I ask that You deliver me from the spell of negative character and lifestyle. I receive the grace to live right, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
