Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has announced a N10million reward for anyone with useful information that would lead to the arrest of suspects who recently attacked the Makurdi residence of the Member representing Katsina-Ala/Ukum/Logo Federal Constituency, Solomon Wombo.

Alia, in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Tersoo Kula, on Monday, condemned the attack.

He also emphasised that his administration would not watch criminals terrorise innocent people in the state, promising that the government would do everything in its power to ensure the suspects are arrested and made to face the full wrath of the law.

Hoodlums had on Saturday attacked the resistance of the federal lawmaker.

The gunmen, after invading the residence, demanded to know the whereabouts of the lawmaker.

One of his housekeepers was brutalised, sustaining injuries during the incident.

Alia in the statement issued, charged security agencies in the state to work tirelessly to locate the suspects and bring them to book.

He also urged the people of the state to remain calm, assuring that his administration will not rest on its oars until the state is made free of every form of criminality.
