Serving Kano Lawmaker, Halilu Ibrahim Kundila, Is Dead

A serving member of the Kano State House of Assembly, Halilu Ibrahim Kundila, is dead.

It was learnt that the lawmaker who represented Bagwai/Shanono Constituency died in Kano State on Saturday night.

Reports confirmed that he was buried on Sunday morning, according to Islamic rites.

A statement by Ismail Mudashir, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, said his principal mourned the death of the Kano lawmaker.

Jibrin’s condolence message to the family and relations of the deceased lawmaker described him as hard-working.

It said, “Innalillahi wa inna ilaihi rajiuun. I received the shocking news of the death of Hon. Halilu Ibrahim Kundila. Late Hon. Kundila was a hardworking and committed lawmaker who contributed immensely to the development of our state.

“May Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings, admit him in Jannatul Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
