Today’s Christian Devotion 29-03-2024

Jesus' arrest and trial began in the early hours of good Friday. It was on this day that he faced Pontius Pilate, the crowd demanding his crucifixion, the betrayal of Peter, and abandonedment by his followers. He was mistreated, flogged, and eventually crucified.

He was laid in the tomb provided by Joseph of Arimathea, *Matt. 27:1-62*. O Lord, as Jesus offered himself on the cross for us, so we offer our lives to you; make us the aroma of Christ. Father, may the words we speak, the actions we take and the inner workings of our hearts bring you joy.

May our prayers rise like pleasing incense to your throne, in Jesus mighty name, amen. *We live for Christ who died for us and lives forevermore*.
