Former Nigeria international Ifeanyi Udeze has urged the Super Falcons to beat South Africa’s Banyana Banyana by wide scoreline in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympic qualifiers.

The Falcons will host the reigning African champions in the first leg inside the MKO Abiola Stadium on Friday 5 April.

While the second leg will hold at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria on Tuesday 9 April.

The winner over two legs will qualify for the football event of the Olympic games.

“It is important the Super Falcons record a big margin in the first leg because the second leg will be tough,” Udeze said. “They should win by 3-0, 4-0 here then in the second leg they can maybe go for a draw.”

Falcons last appearance at the Olympic was at the 2008 Beijing games and have failed to qualify for three consecutive games: London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020.
