Congratulations To Gov Nwifuru, Chief Odii, Prof. Odoh And Ebonyi State!

With the verdict of the Supreme Court on the 2023 Ebonyi governorship election resolving the tortuous legal battles in favour of His Excellency, Gov. Francis Nwifuru, I wish to congratulate the governor and his supporters. Like our people say, "Onye dzotaru iwhe l'adzo adzo bu okponyigba". This, translated in English language, means that the winner of a contest is the strongest! This epochal development has ushered Ebonyi State into a period of governance

In the same vein, I congratulate Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii who was the governorship candidate of my party, PDP, and all of us, his supporters; and Prof. Bernard Ifeanyi Odoh of APGA and his supporters. For traveling this arduous road, Gov. Francis Nwifuru, Chief Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii and Prof. Ben Odoh alongside others have greatly enriched Ebonyi State democratic process, Ebonyi political history and the Nigerian case law. In each of the three key players, I find every letter in the word, "man", both meaningful and effective. I am proud of each of them and I pray God's presence upon each of them and the entire Ebonyi State.

I wish to remind them and all Ebonyi people that in all these, what is of paramount importance is the collective interest, the common good and the overall development of Ebonyi State which still remains a rural state notwithstanding the genuine efforts of the previous administrations. This demands subordination of all private emotions and interests to the collective interest of Ebonyi State which alter ego has become the Nwifuru administration. By this, I call on all Ebonyi people to support the Governor Nwifuru - led Ebonyi State administration to succeed and deliver on his People's Charter of Need manifesto. I exhort Governor Francis Nwifuru to be magnanimous in victory by opening his arms to all men of goodwill in Ebonyi State notwithstanding their political, religious or ideological persuasions.

It is well with Ebonyi State.
