The American Human Rights Council (AHRC-USA) joins the peace-loving communities across the world in condemning the Israeli killing of two more reporters in Gaza.

The Israeli genocide in Gaza has resulted in massive civilian losses. Gaza genocide is notable for Israel’s targeting of media personnel and their family members. Two Aljazeera reporters were recently added to the lengthy list of murdered media personnel.

AHRC calls upon all media organizations to uphold their ethical and moral obligations not only by denouncing and reporting on the carnage, but by also lobbying the US government and other governments to put an end to this Israeli campaign against the media.

Secretary Blinken offered his condolences and sympathy to Aljazeera reporter Wael Al-Dahdouh. Mr. Al Dahdouh has lost a number of immediate family members, killed by Israel, most recently his son Hamza. The US can do much more than offer condolences and sympathies. It is American bombs and missiles that are killing the Palestinians. It is US unlimited support that is allowing the carnage to continue.

The Biden administration should be demanding a ceasefire. The US is a partner in this war, and it is the only country in the world that can impose a ceasefire.

AHRC offers its heartfelt condolences to Mr. Al -Dahdouh and to the Al Jazeera TV News channel whose reporters are braving death to report on Israeli crimes in Palestine.

“Reporters are humanity's witnesses, they are said to write the first draft of history,” said Imad Hamad, AHRC Executive Director. “We are appalled by Israel’s criminality and wickedness as to the Palestinians generally and media personnel specifically,” added Hamad. “The world demands a ceasefire, and that Israel is held accountable for all its crimes,” concluded Hamad.
