Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has removed the Chief Judge of the State, Justice Adepele Ojo.

This is coming hours after the National Industrial Court, Ibadan division, presided over by Justice Dele Peters, issued a restraining order barring the governor from removing Justice Ojo.

Despite the court’s directive, Adeleke, through Olawale Rasheed, his spokesperson, announced the suspension of the judge.

Rasheed also announced the appointment of Justice Yinka Afolabi as the acting Chief Judge of the state.

“Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed Justice Olayinka David Afolabi as the Acting Chief Judge of Osun State with immediate effect following the approval of the resolution of the House of Assembly.”
