Nigerian Institution Of Electrical And Electronic Engineers Hold Maiden Edition Of Electrical Engineering Week In Port Harcourt On Monday

The Nigerian Institution of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (NIEEE), a division of the Nigerian society of Engineers will this Monday by 9.00am commence the maiden edition of the Electrical Engineering week in Port Harcourt.

According to a release made available by the chairman of the Engineering week committee, Engr. Oluwa Kolade Oluwa the event starts Monday 26th through the 30th of September 2016 at the Engr. Ishmael Banigo, Nigerian Society of Engineers, Secretariat, Bernard Carr street Port Harcourt.

The Commissioner for Power, Rivers state, Hon. Mike Anwuri will be the Special Guest of honour while chairman of the occasion will be the National chairman of NIEEE, Engr. Emmanuel Akinwole.

Theme for this year’s event is: ‘CHALLENGES, GAINS AND PROSPECTS OF LOCAL CONTENT IN ELECTRICAL INDUSTRY IN NIGERIA; the 5 day event shall feature the investiture of the second chapter chairman of NIEEE, Port Harcourt on Wednesday 28th September at NSE Secretariat among others

The electrical engineering week is a conscious platform put together by the country’s electronic and electrical engineers annually to come together discuss and take up the challenge of solving the many problems in the power sector.
