World Peace: Bblli Asks Nigerian Youths To Complement Government's Effort

In solidarity with the United Nations Human Rights Charter, The Beyond Boundaries Legacy Leadership Initiative (BBLLI) joins the global community in observing the 2016 world Peace Day.

We recognize the severe challenges efforts to entrench world peace has faced and hereby call on all Nigerians, especially the youth and institutions of goodwill to remain steadfast to complementing the efforts of governments towards eradicating conflicts and strife from the country and the world at large.

Inline with our organisational aim to promote good governance, peace and unity for sustainable development, the BBLLI hereby restates its commitment to inculcating into the youth critical awareness and knowledge which will enable them resolve to shun acts of violence notwithstanding the forms of inducements.

Coming at a time when a third of countries on earth are plagued with one form of violence or another, we charge the AU, UN and NATO alongside other international socio-economic and political pressure groups to step up and intensify global campaigns against recourse to arms and forms of violence as means of resolving conflicts over mediation & arbitration.

Stressing the need for fairness and equity, the BBLLI commends the International Criminal Court for ensuring that persons and institutions that encourage and support armed conflicts are made to answer for their roles in escalating conflicts.
