One of the grassroots sports lovers and sponsors in Nigeria, who has creatively distinguished himself from the crowd is the Chief Executive Officer of Micura Services Limited, High Chief Michael Orobosa Ubogu.

When it comes to grassroots sports in Nigeria, Chief Ubogu has exhibited personal mentality investing on the lives of young talented footballers whose target ages of 13 to 16.

History will continue to replicate the good legacy of a man whose lifestyle to discover both young and old footballers in Nigeria. He has largely spent huge resources on the annual Nigerian maritime cup, apart from his regular humanitarian services to the poor.

One of the interviews granted to Chief Ubogu by Mindset Media Limited last year, he said the purpose of sponsoring the annual Nigerian Maritime Cup is not just to win the competition but for maritime workers to familiarize with other. It is a game to unite ourselves in the maritime industry.

If the current President of Nigeria Football Federation, Chief Pinnick Amaju and other sports administrators could have listen to some of the advices of Chief Ubogu on corruption and poor officiating, then the Rio Olympics which Nigeria participated would have ended in fiasco.

Finally, Ubogu is a man that cannot be ignored in grassroots sports development in Nigeria whose inputs are creative and innovative to the core. The present Minister of Sports, Mr Dalung must seek the advice of grassroots sports experts like Ubogu to build new a generational of Super Eagles.
